This is a little preview of one of the projects at our next class. I wish you could see the sparkle from the stella. Sooo cute! I love stamp sets that have a variety of holidays and fits a punch! Celebrate any occasion with these fabulous bottle toppers. Its a sweet little gift for a neighbor, co-worker or friend. You could even add it to a basket of goodies or stick a gift card on the back of the tag.  They would be a perfect party gift too. Super easy to make! Cut your card stock at 2-1/2" x 6".  You should be cable to get 5 of these out of a sheet of cardstock. Then just score down 1-3/4 inches and punch a 1-1/4 inch hole inside!

Look what I did yesterday. It took me about 2-1/2 hours! Not bad for all those cards.  Everything was cut and ready. And they are all so different.  What's even better, is that it was only $30 for everything, even envelopes.  This is what I was left with...

oooh, I could make more cards with all that stuff. It came with my kind of instructions too...just a picture and a few tips.

So get them quick while they last! Get together with your friends and put them together, or put on a movie and have have a quiet evening at home.  Warning though....If you invite too many friends and you do a lot of talking, it may take you longer!!! Its not to early to be thinking about Christmas gifts too!

Convention 2013

We had a great time at Stampin' Up's  Convention this year. The first thing we did was host our convention connection.  We love to be able to meet downline friends and provide easy projects to take home and duplicate in classes and workshops. Wish we had room so they can all come.  These are some of the projects that we did. I love the unique fold of the candle card and the fun basket made with the rosette die.
I apologize for all the black flecks on the pictures.  New phone is coming in a month:)

The winner of our drawing!!! It was filled with incolor products new dies and my personal favorite and currently unavailable magnetic platform for our framelits.

Let me introduce you to Thing 1 and Thing 2, aka Demonstrator #1 and Demonstrator #2.
We were able to participate in a Guiness world record. We almost hit 3000.  I'm sure we could have done more if the line hadn't been so long.

We also were lucky enough to help make Birthday boxes for children who celebrate their birthdays at Primary Childrens Medical Center. A place that has been a blessing to our family. (That is not a bug on Margarets face, it my camera :)

As it was Stampin' Ups 25 year celebration.  They brought to the stage the 25 demonstrators at convention that have stuck with the company the longest.

They gave us a beautiful necklace. I think we look a little better without our wigs on. Glad we didn't wear them this day.

A little bit of the entertainment that was provided. The entertainment was great, even the guy from The Voice that sang the theme song was fabulous of course.  But it's hard to top all the prizes and giveaways that they showered us with!!!! Stamps, glitter, DSP, washi tape, paper pumpkins, undefined, punches, framelits.  And of course the fun with friends!!!

Paper pumpkin from May

If you haven't signed up for Paper Pumpkin yet, you may have missed this project.  I just wanted you to see how cute they are.  This one was a little more time consuming because each page was different. I copied the pics of the album that I found on stampinup.com with just a few changes. I was really excited about all of the pieces that were left (last pic.) I used a heart punch and a piece of 12x12 cardstock and made 8 little note cards. We did jazz them up with a little bling since we were offering as little extra bling pack when you signed up! Check out these cute cards... they are made with the Sent with Love Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper—if you buy them in a bundle you get for it 20% off and Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine for free! But guess what, it gets even better. Jill Olsen came up with this idea.  Just add 2 ink pads (calypso coral and pool party), a package of paper (real red or 2011-2013 In color pack), real red marker, note cards and envelopes, and then because it is Sale-a-bration time you can get the Sycamore Street buttons and ribbon pack for free! They go perfect with this DSP. Then you can make tons of cards for about $50! I added another pack of note cards and made 36 using just half of the pack of DSP and ribbon.
Below are the cards I made with everything left to make more, along with instructions!

If you would like to see how I cut the DSP click here to download the document.  I like to cut all my paper at once. I try to make my cuts simple and get the best usage of paper. You will get 24 cards out of two sheets by cutting them at 4x2-1/2. those pieces are backed with a 4-1/4x 2-3/4 piece of card stock (you need exactly 3 sheets for that,I know awesome, not a speck left). Then place on note cards, embellish those and they are done. The next set of cards use a quilt design, Now I'm not a quilter, so this was the easiest way for me to cut it. Look at the diagram here, way easier than explaining it. Then I just flipped over half of each kind and shape and started assembling the rectangles on the note cards. Then just embellish and you have cards to last a year or two or three. There is actually one kind of DSP in the pack that we didn't even use. Do you need one last Decoration in your house? Print this off on Card stock. You can cut around the Label Shape. But if you are in a hurry like me, just trip the white, punch two holes in each, and string some ribbon or tulle through the holes.  Then I took 5 inch pieces of tulle and tied in a knot in the center.  Super fast and Voila, you made a banner!

These tags are "tree"riffic. So simple, lots of punching...my favorite thing to do, the kids like to help with it too! Fun Christmas colors, just sad that paper didn't come in 12x12 sheets.
