Yep! It's that time of year again! I am looking forward to no more early morning orchestra car pools for the next few months. But we are ready to thank all those awesome teachers and coaches my kids had this year! You can download these tags HERE or make your own on MDS.  I just used punches and text on these, so they would be easy to copy. And if you have a 2 1/2" circle punch, it fits perfectly.  They would be just as cute cut out in squares too.

Melted Snowman

Here is a quick neighbor/friend gift. Pull out some fleece and sew a tube, then gather the top and snip to fray for the hats. The noses were made with simply pressed clay. It is perfect because of it's light weight. You can color it with your reinkers too. Beware of the cold.  Our little noses had a hard time staying on when the waters got cold.

Digital Gift Tags

Are you about ready for Christmas yet? I am getting close. I don't know about you, but I like my tags to match the wrapping paper for my gifts. I found this cute paper from Costco, so time to make some tags.  Usually I go the old fashioned way and pull out my stamps and background paper.  This time I tried something a little simpler.  You can make some too, just use your MDS! I didn't include my tags a a download because I figured they wouldn't match anyone else's paper.  I hope this inspires you to make some of your own!

Deer Beer

Need a little Deer Beer tonight? It's just root beer :) We used Apothecary Accents, circles and Autumn Accents dies to form his face, then punched an oval to slide over the neck of the bottle. Then of course add a bit of texture. Below are the tags that we put on them. You can download them HERE

Christ trees/ Paint Stick trees

Here is one of the projects we have been working on.  

What a great way to remember Christ this Christmas! 

The steps are simple...cut 5 Home Depot paint sticks. Yes, they need to be from Home Depot. I will spare you the details, but we tried other sticks. Cut one stick into a 2" and 7". Another stick, 3" and 6".  Another stick, 4"  and 5" one at 8" and the last at 9". You will also need a 3-1/2" block and an 18" dowel.  

We cut 4 sheets of DSP (Designer Series Paper) to 8-1/2 x 11 so they would fit in our printer. Download the words with lines HERE , without lines HERE. Then we cut the words in strips and mixed the papers up. That will give you enough words for 8 trees. You could do all of the words the same color instead of mixing up the pages and get 2 trees out of one page.   Every bodies favorite was the one made with Mocha Morning paper, so added the paper to the download if you want to print it in color. You can do that HERE.  The sheep we found at Walmart, but anything would work. The pictures on the front we bought in a pack of 100 for $2.00, you can order those HERE. Any star till work on the top.  We love the one we used, that of course is from Stampin' Up!

Holiday Gift Class

Hey, all you Stampin' Up demonstrators out there... try these ideas for a class to get the Holidays going. The rest of you come over and make these project with us! (let us know by the 28th so we can order all of the supplies) All of these projects are from Stampin'Up kits.  We just added a few pieces of card stock, rhinestones and bakers twine for the tags.  With the canvas banner, we used half a kit and added some buttons, ribbon and circles cut out of cardstock.

Helping out in a Crunch!

Do you ever need to thank someone for helping you out at the last minute.  It happens to me all the time. Hopefully a little bit of chocolate will make their service a whole lot sweeter. These are fun size candy bars, Its hard to find them when its not halloween. You could make a tag out of it and tie it to a large candy bar too. You are welcome to print the wrappers HERE. Below are a few folding tips to make it easier.

Notice the first fold is just below the tip of the washi tape. Yep, mine are going to be yellow, thanks to my printer not liking the refilled ink cartridge. (Beware...cartridges that you refill may damage your printer. Talk to someone who knows about printers, maybe yours will be fine. Both of our printers have gone haywire after we refilled a cartridge)

Fold the other end till it meets in the center.  Then when you tape it closed, over lap a little bit and it will hold it snug. I used card stock too.  If you used regular paper you wouldn't have to make any folds.

Love these....This girl is brilliant. The website that I found these on are for cupcake push pops (I don't know where you get cupcake push pop, but those were cute too.) They fit great on twinkies, the back just overlaps a little bit more. You can print the little minions HERE. The "one in a minion" tags HERE and the "thanks a minion" HERE. If you still have your old small tag punch from Stampin Up, it fits perfectly.  Have fun with your little minions!

General Conference Kit

This idea came from my Visiting Teacher Chrissy Lee, who brings me wonderful treats like this all the time!

So of course I had to make them for mine. If you are not LDS you might be wondering what General Conference is...Twice a year we get to watch a broadcast of our church leaders as they inspire and encourage us to be more Christ like. Ok, back to the cute stuff. You can download the topper HERE. The bag is filled with a personal bag of popcorn, notepad, pen, extra gum and lotion. It cost about $2.00 a kit if you can get a good deal on the lotion. The penas and little pads of paper were in the school supplies on clearance(I always pick some up when I find a good deal.) I could only find the small packs of extra gum at Dollar Tree. And make sure you get the Jolly Time brand of popcorn, the other brands personal size packages were as big as a regular bag. Have fun!
